CSG have revised the pricing for our services. With effect from June 01 2008 the new pricing structure with be standard within the two Northampton offices. CSG provide a competitive rate for all our services whether within the workshops or during onsite visits. Our engineers have over 50 years of combined IT experience, enabling us to efficiently provide the right solutions for you.
Please note pricing is inclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.
Workshop Rates
CSG operate a tariff system for common repairs, such as spyware removal or laptop jack replacement. These prices are live on our websites. All works are evaluated for FREE, a verbal quotation is then provided to the customer. However diagnostics may be charged.
General maintenance and repair that falls outside our tariff system are charged at £25.00 per ½ hour of works undertaken. CSG caps the maximum amount of time chargeable to 3 hours (6 sessions), at a cost of £150.00, as we are confident that our engineers can solve most problems within this period of time.
Parking is available directly in front of the Computer Repair Shop, or Car Parks are available within walking distance of the Laptop Repair Shop.
Onsite Callouts
CSG have several onsite engineers that will attend on request to home user or business properties alike. The callout charge is £35.00, which includes the first ½ hour of support time within a radius of 15 miles from Northampton town centre. For appointments outside this area, please call for a price quote. Any additional onsite time is charged at £30.00 per ½ hour thereafter. Please be aware that no maximum charge applies.
Remote Access support
CSG operate an online support facility, this enables us to access your computer on request to diagnose and/or remedy the problem. Using our ticket system we can allocate you a secure connection to our support engineers.
What is this service used for?
Troubleshooting (computer running slow, difficulty opening an email attachment, error messages, problems printing)
Training (using Microsoft Word to create labels, creating an email distribution group, moving pictures from your digital camera)
Virus and Spyware issues (if your computer is heavily infected, it may have to be brought in for repair)
Remote Access £25.00 per half hour
Business Support options
Prepaid Time Blocks, these are 1 hour support blocks purchased for future IT needs. Discount applies to this service, due to payment being made prior to works being undertaken. As with the normal support options time is “used” in ½ increments, no callout fees apply. Timed block support customers gain a priority with works undertaken. Onsite attendance is within 1-4 hours unless an appointment is arranged. Remote assistance through our support gateway is charged at half the normal rate; therefore 1 hour of remote support would be debited from prepaid time at 30 minutes. All support actions are recorded on a duplicate callout sheet, and input into our support database, enabling CSG to provide a report on used Time Blocks. Additionally any parts needed are charged at costs price +10% which is a significantly discounted rate compared to standard pricing.

Membership Scheme
CSG operate a prepaid 12 month discount scheme, customers will receive no callout charges for onsite appointments, and therefore onsite will cost the normal £30.00 per ½ hour. Four FREE Remote Access sessions worth £100.00 (can be used together if needed). Parts and Systems sold at cost +15% ex VAT. Workshop tariff rates have a 10% discount for any works done, excluding parts.

Computer System purchasing
A quotation will be provided on request for system purchases; we will provide a computer made to your specification, where possible. All computer systems made by CSG are subject to a Return to Base warranty, if onsite attendance is requested, normal costs apply. Where the customer has purchased through us a branded system, we will endeavour to help with the manufacturer’s warranty requirements.
Parts Sales
All parts supplied by CSG are subject to a 12 month Return to Base warranty; however some components will have a manufacturer’s extended warranty, after the first 12 months the customer will have to deal directly with the relevant companies. An exception to this are monitors, where the manufacturer’s warranty after the first 30 days will swap out any faulty monitors directly with the customer.
Collection and Return service
Within a 10 mile radius of Northampton town centre, CSG will collect your computer for maintenance in our workshops; once the work has been completed the unit will be delivered back to you for FREE
Support times are 9.00 ~ 17.30 Monday to Friday: 10:00 ~ 15:00 Saturdays. Extended support times can be quoted for if needed.
(There is no weekend support or shop cover June, July, August)
