Reinstall Windows Operating Systems @ £90.00 inc. VAT You must have a genuine Certificate Of Authenticity for the Operating System. Perform a clean install of the Operating System; install all hardware drivers, Activation of Windows with Microsoft website. We will install free anti virus and antispyware software to protect system before leaving our workshops. Any additional service packs and windows updates will be carried out. Advice can be given if needed.
Reinstall of Windows Operating System & backup of DATA @ £115.00 inc. VAT We will attempt to save all data as requested dependant on the condition of the hard disk or media being used. You must have a genuine Certificate Of Authenticity for the Operating System. Perform a clean install of the Operating System; install all hardware drivers, Activation of Windows with Microsoft website. We will install free anti virus and antispyware software to protect system before leaving our workshops. Any additional service packs and windows updates will be carried out. Once the installation is complete we will transfer your data to a backup folder on a desktop . Advice can be given if needed
Additional software after Reinstallation: @FOC :We will install any additional software free of charge when we reinstall a windows Operating system. You must provide the software disks for us to do this before the machine leaves our premises. We will charge for this service if required after this time.
Additional software install @ £40.00 inc. VAT per 30 minutes time taken. Software provided by the customer, or various programs as requested. E.G.: Open Office (an alternative to Microsoft Office), Adobe Reader for PDF files, Windows Cleanup tool. Advice can be given if needed
Spyware/Virus Removal @ £95.00 inc. VAT Comprehensive Spyware/Adware/Virus program removal, We will install free antivirus and antispyware software to protect system before leaving our workshops for future protection. Any programs installed will need to be updated and scanned regularly to have full effect. After successful cleaning, CSG will warranty the software repair for 30 days.

Data targeted as My Documents, email and contacts from Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, however email account details cannot be saved. ITunes, and customer specified files where possible. CSG accept no responsibility for condition or amount of data saved from a failing hard drive, the £40 charge is still made for the data backup attempt.

Installation of parts in system chassis @ £35.00 Inc VAT Minimum 30 minute charge for one item subject to engineer’s discretion. This cost may be waived or reduced if access is simple and minimal time taken.

This charge covers: - Motherboard, CPU, Memory, Power Supplies, Hard drives, Optical drives, card readers etc.
Important - if the motherboard is changed in a PC, the Windows Operating System may require repair to work successfully with the new component. Therefore the "Restore Windows Access" charge would also apply.
Laptop Power Jack Replacement @ £90.00 Inc VAT + cost of power jack if special order Strip down of unit to remove main circuit board, de-solder of jack, re-solder of new, continuity check, rebuild unit, and charge battery. Please note - Sony and Samsung Laptops will be quoted for, as the power jack is non standard and requires sourcing.
Laptop Screen Replacement @ £40.00 Inc VAT + Cost of Screen. Strip down of unit to remove LCD/TFT screen, identify unit, and replace screen with compatible part.

All other jobs in our workshop are subject to a quotation at our standard half-hourly rate of £40.00 Inc VAT charged in 30 minute increments of bench time per job. The Laptop Repair Shop and The Computer Repair Shop operate a maximum labour charge of 2.5 hours of work per job/ computer, when in our workshops (£200.00). You will not be charged for any works that exceeds this limit (per job). You will be informed before job completion or during quotation stage if charges change due to unforeseen problems or occurrences.
Software repairs carry a 30 day warranty with us Hardware repair parts are covered by us through the standard manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty terms. Laptop power jack repairs/replacement is covered for 30 days. Software installs/spyware cleans are covered for 30 days
